Achievements

In 2022, Grasshopper's Mermaid (TGM) joined forces with 1% for the Planet and 2% for Conservation. These organizations help us to make sure our 10% back donations are going to organizations that will put them to the best use for Animal, Ocean and Forest Conservation.

Our partnership with 2% for Conservation also holds us accountable for getting out and being active in the community with conservation-driven activities, which we have always encouraged from day one! 

Combined with these awesome partnerships, TGM still donates 10% back on net sales of all products sold. To date, we have donated to some pretty awesome organizations who focused on Animal, Ocean and Forest Conservation. 

Continued education, conservation advocacy and awareness is another really big part of TGM's mission. TGM's Founder, Rose Schneider, established a yearly scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for students studying abroad, majoring in journalism or environmental sciences. 

We are stoked to announce that in addition to conservation donations, we donate to both the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and North Carolina's Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary because everyone who works with TGM believes making sure animals whether they be wild or domesticated should be treated ethically and with love. 

In 2023 we were granted our certification as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation's leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women.

The WBENC Certification process has confirmed that our business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women, and has the appropriate structure and strategic business planning and implementation in place. 

By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs, which in turn empowers women as leaders and brings about a more diverse, balanced and sustainable economy.
